Welcome to the Camp Staff Alumni Newsletter

The concept of a Camp Staff Alumni Association began late summer 2007 and, since that time, more than 200 alumni have joined the Association. The beginning years involved defining the organization, establishing roles and responsibilities, having successful projects and reunions, and setting up the website and financial management. Most importantly, it involved building a positive and credible relationship with Boston Minuteman Council and the current camp staff. Together, we did it!

Get involved in some way. Think about the Alumni Association motto:

“We will give back to camp more than camp gave to us.”

Bruce Colvin

Chairman, Camp Staff Alumni Association

Thanks to all of you these are some of the examples of the quality work and ways in which you add value to our campers every year!!

Work Weekends Schedule

As you know Tim Roche leads us with the Weekend Warriors and has put together a work scheulde. If you are able to provide time to assist with any of these projects please let Tim know. Even if you can only give a few hours, the time you spend helps in so many ways. The April schedule can be found here, May schedule here, and the June schedule here

Our goal is to have as many alumni join us for a work weekend on June 21-23 at Storer to help the staff get ready for opening day. Please make every effort to attend and help out.  All meals are provided !!

Boston Minuteman Camp Staff Alumni Reunion

Serving Camp Alumni from Quinipoxett, Sayre, Sachem, Massasoit, Parker Mountain, and T.L. Storer Scout Reservation. August 3 & 4  2013 at T L Storer Scout Reservation. Tony Morganelli is the chairman for this year’s camp staff reunion!  The weekend will be full of fun and memories, another exciting weekend of camp just as we remember.  Please mark your calendars for the weekend of August 3-4 and plan to be in Barnstead, NH. To volunteer, please contact Tony at

This year’s Alumni Spirit Award recipient will be William Sullivan

Bill served on Storer camp staff from 1976 – 1985, and his enthusiasm enhanced the culture of the camp staff so deeply that it still can be felt today.  As the Reservation Director, he helped increase the camp attendance during Storer’s most successful years. Bill challenged a generation of Scouts to be their best, and he continues to challenge us. Join us in celebrating with Bill Sullivan.

The 2013 / 2014 alumni camp improvement project to re-build the rifle and shot gun range will require funding and a sincere commitment on the part of our alumni.  So get ready to roll up your sleeves, enjoy summer camp, and help give back to the camp that gave all of us so much! See you in Barnstead on August 3 — and please help spread the word to all camp staff alumni!

See you at the reunion!
