Title: SOAR 2012
Location: Scouting’s Adventure on the River
Link out: Click here
Description: SOAR is an exciting day of family fun open to the public and sponsored by Boy Scouts of America as well as our generous corporate partners. Join us at the DCR’s Herter and Artesanni Parks on Soldiers Field Rd in Boston on Sunday October 7th to experience the action and adventure that Scouts of all ages do all year long.

Why SOAR now?

Today, more than ever, families everywhere are looking for ways to simplify and enjoy the more basic and fulfilling aspects of life. The nation is focused on improving the health of its children through better eating and more exercise. And good health is also about having enriching experiences and developing self confidence and self esteem. While having fun. That’s Scouting!

Scouting is built on the tradition of enjoying the outdoors and learning valuable skills: Wilderness Survival, Leadership and Life Skills. Scouting joins people from all walks-of-life through the unity of the great outdoors. This experience of learning and growing together results in strong bonds and even stronger individuals. Whether it’s how to build a canoe, a piece of furniture, program a robot, or build a bridge, Scouting is grounded in tradition and looking straight in to the future. Together, Scouts and their families are Prepared. For Life.

Scouting brings the joy of the outdoors and the promise of adventure to youth everywhere.

Alumni Volunteers-

I know I ask a lot of you guys but I have to ask for more…

I am going to volunteer to help out at this big SOAR event on the Charles River Oct 6th Weekend…
We could use all the help we can get…from handing out water to helping out in a million different ways…
you get fed and a Tee shirt..bring the kids its a blast for all…

Its a three day event and you don’t have to work the whole time…
A few hours one day would help emmensly…
I think if a bunch of us went together we would have a blast…

Think about it and let me know….

Guinness book of records worlds longest pinewood derby track…
check it out…it has the Zacam (spelling ?) on it…pretty cool…
being wives, kids, friends,,,if you can come help out that would be great…

Again. I know I ask a lot of you guys and you always step up…If you can, you can … I just ask that you give it some thought.. and again it’s going to be a blast.
Thanks,

Please let me know…
