Title: 2010 TL Storer Alumni Work Weekend
Location: TL Storer Reservation – Barnstead NH
Description: The 2010 work weekend at Storer Scout reservation has been set for June 4-6th. I am working with the Boston Minuteman Council Properties Committee to finalize projects and funds that may be available to the Alumni Association from the McGee Foundation grants. Projects include updating the Copes course. Brian Lewis may have a donation for a water skiing boat which may free up McGee grant money for the Rifle range and the Archery range updates. I will keep you updated via the web site as soon as additional information becomes available. Greg Boyd Work Weekend Chairman

A huge Thankyou to everyone who participated in the Official Alumni Work Weekend. A huge success thanx to everyone. The list of accomplishments is too long to list. The list of volunteers wqas approx. 25 to 35 people. Painting, painting, painting…lots of it…the paint crews hit the waterfront and the dining hall areas. A work crew rebuilt the bathrooms at the Reservation office anf the visitors bathroom. A work crew attacked the Goose building and banged out all the interior trim on the windows and doors. A crew installed flag poles all around the dining hall and in front of the quartermasters bldg. A crew built new steps and deck on the Beaver lodge. A crew cleared trees and brush to beautify the camp entrance at the reservation office. We had a crew in the kitchen and we had a crew working on camp vehicles….all in all a very bust weekend….So thank you all. Nick the Ranger and his new helper for the summer, Jay Wolf. Thanx to Bruce Colvin for his huge donation of $1000.00 to finance the entire weekend. Between Bruce Colvin and Greg Boyd, they pretty much supplied all the wood, cement, paint, sand for the beach, food and drink and pretty much everything for the weekend. As well as getting down and dirty with the rest of us. I think everyone who visists camp this year will notice the new facelift with all the new painting and all the new flagpoles, stairs, restrooms, kitchens, etc and more that have been accomplished since camp ended last year. We will continue our quest to improve the camp anyway we can for the scouts to enjoy all year round. Again, I can’t thank my dedicated workers enough for all their time, monies, donations of materials and more. You guys are the best…Thanx to everyone and hope to see you all soon and if not soon at the Alumni Reunion August 13, 14, and 15…from me personally and from all of us invloved in the Storer revitalization….Thankyou…..Tim Roche
